I purchased this large bowl as the main water bowl for my dogs. Because of the wood stand, the bowl remains steady and in place when the dogs drink from the bowl. It took me a while searching Amazon to find a bowl and stand that looked like this and that was large enough to serve as a water bowl for multiple dogs. The bowl is heavy enough but not too heavy to fill with water and carry. It washes well in the dishwasher. Plus, it looks great. I highly recommend this bowl for its beautiful appearance, large size, and high quality.
